Why Teaching Your Children About the Value of Effort is Essential for their Future Success
How I’m Teaching My Kids About the Importance of Effort and Financial Education
Often, when we think about our children’s education, we become overwhelmed with doubts about whether we are doing it right or not.
But, as I have said in previous posts, and after reviewing some characteristics of the world that awaits them, there is no need to be overwhelmed.
If we plan their lives with a long-term vision, one of the most important behavior traits they need to internalize is the culture of effort.
I put much more importance on the process than on the result.
Why? Because the result is the consequence of an action (or a series of actions). I see parents who get stressed about grades, and that stress gets transferred to their children. And that is a mistake.
All children are especially gifted in some activities. Others, on the other hand, may find some activities more challenging.
Ideally, the education system would adapt to each child according to their characteristics, but that is not possible today.
